The World Cup's most outstanding goal has been officially determined, and fans have cast their votes to crown Brazilian forward Richarlison as the winner for his breathtaking scissor kick volley against Serbia during the Group G opener in Qatar. This remarkable goal was Brazil's second in a memorable 2-0 victory. Throughout the tournament, Tottenham's Richarlison showcased his talent by netting a total of three goals.

Richarlison's unforgettable scissor kick against Serbia has been honored as the standout goal of the 2022 World Cup, as announced by FIFA. This remarkable strike occurred in the 73rd minute of Brazil's first match of the tournament, securing a 2-0 victory. The goal was the result of a brilliant outside-foot cross from his teammate, Vinicius Jr., originating from the left-hand side. Positioned roughly 12 yards from the goal's center, Richarlison expertly flicked the ball up into the air with his first touch. As the ball descended, he executed a flawless volley while suspended in mid-air. His strike eluded the efforts of Serbian defender Milos Veljkovic to block it and sailed just beyond the outstretched right arm of goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

Richarlison had earlier opened the scoring for Brazil and added his third goal of the tournament with another impressive strike during the second-round 4-1 victory against South Korea. Regrettably, Brazil's World Cup journey came to a close in the quarter-finals, where they faced a penalty shootout defeat at the hands of Croatia.

On the other hand, Serbia found themselves at the bottom of Group G and were eliminated from the tournament after failing to secure a victory in any of their three matches.
